I have been learning about and using herbs for – well – a long time. My nan got me my first book on herbs when I was about 10 and the interest kept on growing from there.
I started by making sugar and salt scrubs when my sister and I began having allergic reactions to the soaps we were using (I was about 13). Even the soaps marketed for sensitive skin would cause itching and burns. It turns out we’re allergic to Aloe Vera; so you won’t find Aloe gel used in any of our recipes.
We also feel that impact on the environment is extremely important. So where reasonably practicable, we do our best to ensure that all of our ingredients are responsibly sourced and sustainable.
All of our packaging is recyclable or reusable, using mainly glass or kraft card based packaging. In the rare event you may see plastic or aluminium packaging, this will also be recyclable.
All of our products are homemade in small batches to guarantee good quality. They are all free from chemicals and dyes, including Parabens and Sulfates and made with natural ingredients that are predominantly plant based. With a couple of ranges including beeswax and many others that are vegan friendly, we’re bound to have something for everyone!
Founded in 2022 and based in an Essex town, we aim to ensure that all of our ingredients and packaging are sourced from suppliers based within the UK and Ireland. Usually from other small businesses.
We do not condone animal testing. However its understandable that our products needed to be tested as part of the development process. So all products have been tried and tested on ourselves! What better way to see how our products work than by using them.
To the people who willingly took part in trialling all of our blends, recipes, potions and lotions; I sincerely thank you. Having a pot of blended essential oils shoved under your nose is not always pleasant; but you persevered when my own nose had gone numb, and I’ll never forget your dedication.
