Welcome to Woolnut Fibres, the home of British wool products in Essex. I have bred and shown sheep, mainly coloured Ryelands, for many years and I am passionate about making use of everything they produce, especially their amazing wool. Wool is a 100% sustainable product with great insulating properties and is very versatile.

I now keep Coloured Ryelands, Devon and Cornwall Longwools and Wenslydales and use their wool in hand made rugs, woven and felted, crochet handbags and pet mats, to name a few. Please browse my shop and learn about the sheep and the items I make. I do the whole job of washing and preparing the fleece, spinning the yarn and weaving the rugs. Each item is unique.
